Philosophy Discussion--Friday, May 25, 7:00 pm, Center for Inquiry-Indiana, 350 Canal Walk, Suite A, Indianapolis. Topic: Ethics Revisited
Description: As a sequel to a past discussion concerning the nature of ethics, we will explore the moral philosophy of J.L. Mackie, an Australian philosopher who lived in the 20th century. Mackie argues, remarkably, that all moral judgments are false. We will examine this thesis as well as Mackie's other, more practically relevant views on ethics.
Michael Persinger is the leader of this group. Michael is an aspiring philosophy professor and is presently researching PhD programs for which to apply.
