Exhibit Opening Reception with Artist Katie Sehr
Friday, June 13, 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Join us for a reception celebrating the opening of our latest featured artist, Katie Sehr.
Sehr’s unique and beautifully delicate drawings create animated landscapes by recording small rhythmic movements with lines. Through this expression, Sehr’s work illustrates time through process.
Sehr has a Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University at Buffalo. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States as well as in Europe. Permanent public collections include the Joan Flasch Artists Book Collection, housed in Chicago, and the Albright Knox Art Gallery. She has won numerous awards including the Sheila Whalen Memorial Award for Best Drawing in 2007 and the Philip and Virginia Cuthbert Award for Painting in 2000.
