"How Post-Atheism Will Redefine What it Means to Be A Humanist in The 21st Century"

Humanism and atheism have become virtually synonymous in recent years -- a troubling development that has resulted in the withering of humanistic values and the rise of an alienating militant atheism. As a consequence, secular humanism has stagnated, unable to evolve and legitimize itself in modern society.

Humanists have also failed to facilitate effective and sympathetic deconversion efforts among the religious, to artic
ulate a clear set of core values for 21st century humanists, and to develop a modern and progressive vision for humanity's future. This talk will address these concerns and show why humanists should adopt a post-atheist stance and how they can work to further develop the movement.
