April's Just Buffalo Literary Café will feature an open literary reading format in honor of National Poetry Month – Starting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 1.

Come celebrate the arts with the Literary Café's One-and-One Reading. For this month only, the Literary Café will take place on a Thursday, April 1st (no, this is not an April fool's joke) to start off National Poetry Month. To celebrate, we will try a slightly different format:

  • There will be approximately 15 five-minute open slots available.
  • Readers will be asked to share one poem/piece of their own and one poem/piece of a writer that has influenced them.

This is a one-time scheduling change from the usual first Wednesday to Thursday. Regular Wendesday Caf é s will resume in May.

The Just Buffalo Literary Café—hosted by Perry Nicholas the first Wednesday of each month at the Center for Inquiry—features amateur and professional authors and poets. Sometimes established wordsmiths are showcased, and sometimes the evening is reserved for open readers who wish to present their works. As always, there will be time for socializing and refreshments.  Free cookies, coffee, and hot tea will be available.

The Just Buffalo Literary Café is FREE and open to the public. Plenty of free parking is available.

The Center for Inquiry is located
at 1310 Sweet Home Road, Amherst, N.Y.
Across the street from University at Buffalo North Campus.
