Science and Art Festival
The Center for Inquiry in Amherst is excited to announce that it will be hosting its first Science and Art Festival! A number of talented local artists and distinguished speakers are participating. The Festival will be a great way for students who share an interest in the wonder and power of the scientific worldview to meet each other.
Artistic exhibits focusing on themes of "truth" and "beauty" will be on display throughout the grounds while guest speakers focus on the overlap of science and art. Live electronic music will be played throughout the day.
Featured speakers include: Judith M. Horowitz ( PhD in biopsychology) on "Neuroscience and Beauty"; Alex Fernandez (fiber optics instructor) on "Technology and Entertainment"; and Corey Neil (M.A. in psychology); on "The Life of Leonardo Da Vinci."
Also, CyberJocks Technology and Gaming Center will be setting up an elaborate, interactive exhibit displaying the most cutting edge and exhilarating gaming technology available.
This event is FREE and open to the public.
