It seems like the number of atheist charities has grown lately. Atheists can be as generous as anyone, and they show it.

Atheists give to lots of charities having a secular orientation and purpose, and they give to charities organized by atheists.

Some prominent atheist charities and volunteering organizations include:

SHARE -- organized by the Center for Inquiry

The Foundation Beyond Belief

The Kiva Lending Team , of the non-religious

The Atheist Volunteers website

And there are many more -- charity and volunteer opportunities are mentioned at:

Let's use comments to suggest more ways for atheists to show their charitable side.
