Homeothapy skeptics plan mass overdose on useless pills

January 22, 2010

A United Kingdom anti-homeothaphy group -- which calls itself 10 23 (Avogadro's constant) -- is planning a mass protest. This group's website announces:

At 10:23am on January 30th, more than 300 homeopathy sceptics nationwide will be taking part in a mass homeopathic 'overdose' .

The UK newspaper The Independent reports that

"More than 300 people who style themselves as 'homoeopathy sceptics' will each swallow an entire bottle of homoeopathic pills in protest at the continued marketing of homoeopathic medicines by Boots, the high street chemist chain."

While waiting for any reports of ill-effects from this "overdose", you can read the statement about "Homeothapy, what's the harm?" on 10.23's website .
