Seeing “The Theory of Everything”

December 5, 2014

This is not one of my Nickell-odeon reviews: Having seen this first-rate movie, I was first speechless, then moved to write the following poem. Anything else from me would, I feel, be superfluous.

Body twisted like some root unearthed, yest still grasping that geode-like brain, its gemmed core a kind of crystal radio, attuned--a mind so rare, so rarified as to hear the almost boundless, time-freed music of the spheres.

Dr. Nickell,
I just finished reading your ‘The Secrets of Oak Island’ article on CSI and felt compelled to check your site.

I’m glad I did, excellent poem!

Regards,
John
