In writing a reminiscience for the special Martin Gardner Tribute Issue of Skeptical Inquirer (September/October 2010), I came across this cartoon I had done of and for Martin for a 1996 "Gathering for Gardner" in Atlanta.
Very appropriate—both the cartoon and the award. I’m just sad Martin is not alive to accept it in person.

Two years ago James Randi received the Independent Investigations Group Houdini Hall Of Honor Award. Last year Joe Nickell received it. On Saturday, August 21, 2010 Martin Gardner will receive it at the Independent Investigations Group Tenth Anniversary Celebration.
