Episode 108 - The Moral Landscape, Part 2
January 03, 2012
Questions of good and evil, right and wrong, are commonly thought unanswerable by science. But in his new book The Moral Landscape: How Science Can Determine Human Values, Sam Harris argued that science can—and should—be an authority on moral issues, shaping human values and setting out what constitutes a good life. Harris is the outspoken author of the New York Times bestsellers The End of Faith and Letter to a Christian Nation. In this lecture he reflects on themes of his latest book.
This presentation was given at the New York Society for Ethical Culture for the Center for Inquiry – New York City on October 7, 2010.
