Episode 129 - The God Virus: How Religion Infects Our Lives and Culture, Part 2
May 14, 2012
There are countless ways to think about religion. But should we think of it as an infectious agent?
On April 27, 2010, the Center for Inquiry – Michigan in Grand Rapids presented a lecture by organizational psychologist and former Christian fundamentalist Darrel Ray. Its title: “The God Virus: How Religion Infects Our Lives and Culture.”
Darrel Ray practiced as a clinical psychologist before opening an international consulting practice in 1986. Raised in a fundamentalist home by parents who eventually became missionaries, he has seen religion from the inside out. Now an atheist, he is founder of the web site Recovering from Religion.
