On March 2, 2012, the Council for Secular Humanism and the Center for Inquiry presented the first day of their conference titled “Moving Secularism Forward” at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Florida. The afternoon session was titled “Situation Review: the International Academy of Humanism.” In this episode, remarks by Academy Laureate and winner of the Nobel Prize Sir Harold Kroto, followed by questions from the audience.
Sir Harold Kroto is currently a Francis Eppes professor of Chemistry at Florida State University. In 1996 he was knighted for his contributions to chemistry and later that year was one of three recipients of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of London.
