Episode 140 - Divinity of Doubt: An Agnostic’s Challenge, Part 1
August 13, 2012
Part One of a special presentation featuring former prosecutor and bestselling author Vincent Bugliosi.
On August 7, 2011, the Center for Inquiry – Los Angeles presented a lecture by Vincent Bugliosi, titled “Divinity of Doubt: An Agnostic’s Challenge.”
Basing his remarks upon his book Divinity of Doubt: The God Question, Bugliosi argues that New Atheists like Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris are as wrong as faith-filled believers, and that agnosticism – an honest doubt that rebuffs all conclusions – is the best position to take on God’s existence.
Vincent Bugliosi is famous as the Los Angeles County district attorney who prosecuted mass murderer Charles Manson and wrote the bestseller Helter Skelter about the case. He prosecuted 106 felony jury trials and secured convictions in 105 of them, never losing a murder case.
