Part One of a two-part session on superstition and allegations of haunting from the 2011 conference of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry.
On Friday, October 28, 2011, the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry and the Center for Inquiry presented a session titled “Superstition and Hanutings” at their conference, CSIcon, at the Marriott Hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
The session was moderated by Amardeo Sarma, leader of GWUP, Germany’s national skeptics group. The speakers were Stuart Vyse, an author and professor of psychology at Connecticut College; and Joe Nickell, the senior research fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry whose numerous books include The Science of Ghosts: Searching for Spirits of the Dead.
