Part One of a two-part session on grassroots activism from the 2011 conference of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry.
On Saturday, October 29, 2011, the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry and the Center for Inquiry presented a session titled “Grassroots Activism and Outreach” at their conference, CSIcon, at the Marriott Hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
Participants included Debbie Goddard, now vice president for outreach at the Center for Inquiry, at the time of the session coordinator of CFI-On Campus; Lauren Becker, now director of marketing for the Center for Inquiry, at the time of the session the Center’s Vice President for Outreach; Rebecca Watson, who leads a team of skeptical female activists at Skepchick.com; and Michael Feldman, co-founder and president of the New York City Skeptics and co-founder of Drinking Skeptically.
