October 13-15, 2007
Beijing, China
On behalf of Center for Inquiry-Transnational and Center for Inquiry-China, may we cordially invite you to participate in the 2007 World Congress, to be held on October 13-15 in Beijing, China. Hundreds of scientists and scholars from all over the world and all walks of life will convene at the conference. We hope you will be one of them.
The planetary community now is flourishing more than ever before and world society is becoming more and more progressive. Still we encounter many contradictions and conflicts such as concerning the methods and development, the relationship between nations, the relation between the human species and other species, human beings and nature. This raises many basic philosophical questions that we will need to explore. Although science has assumed a great role in the development process, its outlook is not yet recognized by most of human race. How to build a scientific culture as part of mainstream thinking is still an enormous problem. This falls on our shoulders. This is the main topic that we wish to discuss and promote.
China is a great country; Beijing a beautiful city, and the 2008 Olympic Games will be held there. Immerse yourself in Chinese culture, walk with us on the Great Wall, explore the wonders of the Forbidden City and join us for the stunning changing of the maple leaves.
We look forward to seeing you on this once in a lifetime adventure.
