Programming Committee
Simon Davis is the Treasurer of the Center for Inquiry–DC Advisory Board, a member of the Center for Inquiry–DC Fundraising Committee, and the Event Coordinator of the Center for Inquiry–DC Programming Committee. He has been volunteering at the DC Center since 2007. Simon has a B.A. in Economics from the American College of Greece. In his day job, he is a CECommerce Director for a healthcare publications company in Falls Church, Virginia. Simon received the Center for Inquiry's Outstanding Volunteer Award 2010.
Jeff Randall is a member of the Center for Inquiry–DC Advisory Board and a frequent volunteer for CFI–DC since joining the atheist/skeptic community in 2007. Jeff's background includes over 15 years working as a database administrator/application developer for many government agencies and non-profits in the D.C. area, and bowing to the every whim of his spoiled dog. He is committed to community activism; critical thinking in all aspects of life, science, reason, and a fostering a secular society.
Jeffery Zavadil has been an active volunteer at CFI–DC since 2009. He received his PhD from Arizona State University and his MA from Penn State, both in political theory, earning multiple academic awards and fellowships. He has presented papers at national and international conferences, published in academic volumes, and is currently writing a novel of green political science fiction. In addition to teaching college courses in political ideologies, democratic theory, political metaphor, and American political thought, he has taught English in South Korea and served as a youth mentor. He is also an activist on labor issues. Jeffery deployed overseas as an Army Reservist from 2002-2003 and currently works for the Defense Department. He believes in the humanist ideal of active citizens working together for the common good and the flourishing of all. Jeffery received the Center for Inquiry–DC's Freethinker of the Year 2010 award.
