Caught in the Pulpit: Linda LaScola in conversation with Jerry DeWitt
Caught in the Pulpit: Leaving Belief Behind
What is it like to be a preacher who can no longer believe the creed?
As religious leaders struggle to adapt to the new transparency of the information age, the phenomenon of non-believing clergy portends surprising developments in the future of religious belief.
In Caught in the Pulpit, clergy revealed through confidential interviews with Linda LaScola how their lives are overshadowed by hypocrisy, as they contemplate taking a leap from their faith. Over thirty individual cases are examined.
Jerry DeWitt was a participant in the study. In this special event, for the first time he will discuss his interviews with LaScola publicly, as well as the rest of his own journey to atheism.
Free and open to the public. (Registration Required)
