Join the Center for Inquiry DC for a new discussion group: The Perplexed Parents Circle: Families in a Multifaith World.

Perplexed Parents is for parents who would like to explore how to raise children outside of religious institutions. Many parents are not sure what they believe, may have ties to different religions, and struggle with the questions about what to do with their children and religion. This group will address issues such as:

  • Dealing with grandparents and the expectations of extended families
  • Giving children confidence when "everyone" else belongs to something religious and they do not
  • How to celebrate religious holidays
  • How to answer that tough question: What ARE we?

Recommended Reading: Parenting Beyond Belief: On Raising Ethical, Caring Kids Without Religion by Dale McGowan. Chapter: Good and Bad Reasons for Believing. May be purchased through CFI/DC or your local bookstore.

Must RSVP to or call 202-546-2330 Ext. 111. Child care will be provided upon request.

This group is also listed on Meetup.com. You can join the group online and get to know some of the other members ahead of the meeting.

Free and open to the public.
