Join us for our Voices of Reason lecture series with author Lauri Lebo discussing Denying Darwin: A Discussion of Faith, Science and Deception in America.

As a local reporter, who witnessed what played out in her community from the front lines, Lebo discusses much of the behind-the-scenes elements of the first constitutional test of intelligent design in the historic First Amendment case of Kitzmiller v. Dover. She explores both the history and future of religiously motivated attacks on evolution and science education. She also relates how this issue has become so divisive, not only to the town of Dover, but to our whole nation. And, within her own family.

Along the way, Lebo also reveals the dishonesty of the anti-evolution movement and the people who were Lying for Jesus.

Lauri Lebo has been a journalist for twenty years. As part of an investigative reporting team that shed light on two forgotten civil rights–era murders, she helped to unravel the accepted history of her town. As the York Daily Record’s education reporter, she covered the intelligent design trial from its earliest beginnings at local school board meetings. The Devil in Dover was the first Studs and Ida Terkel Author Fund book. The winner of numerous state and national awards, Lebo lives in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Lauri Lebo's newest book, The Devil in Dover, will be available for sale. A book signing will take place after the discussion.
