Voices of Reason: C. Welton Gaddy on Religion and Politics in Election ‘08
Oct 14, 2008
Center For Inquiry-New York City's 2008-2009 Voices of Reason lecture series began Tuesday, October 7, with a talk on the state of religion and politics in Campaign 2008 by the Rev. C. Welton Gaddy, president of the Interfaith Alliance and one of the leading liberal religious voices deploring the erosion of separation between church and state since the early 1990s.
Dr. Gaddy emphasizes the need for cooperation between secularists, freethinkers, and religious defenders of church-state separation and offers specific strategies to highlight our issues. Dr. Gaddy also hosts a weekly radio program, State of Belief, on Air America. Hear the ideas of one of the leading religious opponents of faith-based government.
