I was born and raised in South Dakota. My dad was a veterinarian and my mom stayed home and raised four children. I am, and shall always remain, the baby of the family. I went to school (for the first time) to get an art degree. Alas, I partied too much and studied too little and got lost, to be quite frank. By the time I found myself, I had moved to Tucson, Arizona and I graduated from the University of Arizona with degrees in Media Arts and Art History. I guess I liked UA, cuz I stuck around and worked there for several years. I worked in the Membership Office for Arizona Public Media; I was a graphic and web designer for the College of Engineering; and I was a Marketing Specialist for the School of Media Arts. Then, all of the sudden in was 2009 and I decided that it was time to go out on my own. I started the Flagstaff Film Festival as a way to bring artists and filmmakers together. I also wish to find films that explore films with a critical and scientific point-of-view. Those films have to be out there, right?! I’m determined to find them. |
