Adam R Sweet has performed all over the world with many notable acts in traditional and contemporary acoustic music. He can be seen on concert and festival stages with the Celtic duo Celticado, the bluegrass band Yankee Pedlars, the traditional Irish band Woodkerne, the contradance band Fiddle Hill and his own klezmer project: Ahava Raba Klezmer. Adam has also performed with such bluegrass bands as Maple Ridge, Swift River, The Lonesome Brothers, Pieces of Neck Bluegrass, Pig and The Idiot, Backwoods Medicine, world beat bands such as the Pangeans, and Gaia World Music Ensemble, klezmer bands including Yiddishkeit Klezmer, Klezamir, and Irish bands such as Crackerjack and Crossing The Pond. He has also performed on viola with the Keene Chamber Orchestra, the Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra, the Valley Light Opera, The Friends Society Orchestra and the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, among others. Adam studied Music at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts and at the New England Conservatory of Music at Rivers in Weston, Massachusetts. He has taught violin, viola, mandolin, fiddle and guitar at the Northampton Community Music Center, the Keene Institute of Music and Related Arts, the Keene Community Music Center and the Berkshire Music Academy. He now teaches at Sweet Music Studio in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
