Born in Bible Belt Ohio.  Deconverted as young teenager.  All the details just drained out of my Godly world until only the shell remained.  Finally, that popped like a balloon and I was no longer a believer. 

Questions and science and native curiosity lead me to philosophy, anthropology, and the study of religion which set me free.  Well, sort of.  I was still in the Bible Belt, remember? 

The pursuit of truth, whatever that was and wherever that led, stayed with me.  Think, read, write x 40 years.
And I’ve pieced a few things together.  We can now largely understand why we have religion and how we got it, or should I say how it got us.

Understanding is worth something.  The truth is out there…
