Bio

Computer scientist since 1977 with large and small company experience. At one time or another, I have been a systems programmer, application developer, embedded systems designer/programmer. Oh, and during the “Artificial Intelligence” era, I was a knowledge engineer. As a successful computer scientist, I have made other people a lot of money.

I did take a couple of years away from industry. I taught mathematics and computer science to 7th and 8th graders in Rochester, NY.

I have done quite a bit of Habitat for Humanity work in Buffalo, and I went to Louisiana right after Katrina to help the people there (I spent several years of my youth living in New Orleans).

I have two BS degrees - one in Building Science and one in Computer Science. I have also taken graduate courses in chemistry and biology and pharmacology. Lifetime member of Phi Kappa Phi.
