On the Atheism+ board, my monicker is Antdevamp.

I am born and raised Oakland, Atheist since age 9 in my heart, with a long simmering agnostic era of not examining my doubt due to the inevitable rift it would cause in my militant Catholic family.  At age 40, I decided it was time to face facts, and ‘came out’ Atheist, simultaneously discovering just how far behind the curve I really was compared to other brave freethinkers taking that risk in their teens in some cases.

The company of scientists, critical thinkers and humanists is a very treasured association I have kept all my life without acknowledging my place among them.
