Mriana - 12 June 2008 09:22 AM

cgallaga, this is arrogant, rude, insulting, and demeaning of others. Even post #13 in this thread, also yours, was rude too. Now I don’t know what the issue is that you seem to have with redcrayon’s post, but please stop with the demeaning attitude. People are here to share thoughts, opinions, ideas, etc, not be insulted and demeaned. You may not share the ideas, thoughts, opinions, etc that people post or not understand why they say things or ask questions, but that does not mean you have to be rude in your responses.

I respectfully disagree, and wonder if this has more to do with some personal issue, and our discussion on vegetarians. Other mods please weigh in.

Edit to add: Sorry I just remembered that the forum rules do not allow me to question this warning here. Mods please move my challenge to the proper forum.

Hi,

I haven’t received the latest eidtion of Free Inquiry, I didn’t do anything about it till now because I presumed that it was just delayed but the next edition should be due shortly and I still haven’t gotten the current one. Does anyone know who I should email with regards to this?

Thanks!

It seems like I have this subscription-thingy on, so whenever I write in a topic I receive an e-mail when someone answers to the same topic. So what I’m asking is if anyone knows how to turn this feature off?

Does anyone know how to remove an old avatar and replace it with a new one? I tried removing the old one and replacing it with a new one but the old one was still there and the new one was nowhere in site.

Not sure if this is the correct way to go about this, but I’ve already tried sending two emails, to no avail. It’s been several months.

I applied for trial issues of free inquiry and Skeptical Inquirer magazines. I have yet to receive any communication or any issues. How can I ensure that I receive the trial issues, as I’d like to read them before subscribing.

Thanks!

This folder is for issues of Forum functioning (questions, problems or concerns) as well as complaints about actions taken by Forum Moderators or Administrators. Any thread here may only be responded to by the originator of that thread and Moderators or Administrators. Each issue will be allocated one thread, so look to be sure that your issue has not been or is not already being dealt with before posting. Posts on duplicate issues will be deleted. Questions and problems will be dealt with one-on-one by Moderators. For complaints, this is the procedure:

(1) Check to see that your issue has not been posted already.
(2) Provide a link to the URL of the post or thread at issue, and give a clear and concise description of the problem or complaint.
(3) If possible, a Moderator or Admin unaffiliated with the issue will respond in due course, and set up a private discussion with the other Moderators and Admins.
(4) If additional information is needed, Moderators and Admins may ask for it.
(5) Moderators and Admins will come to a decision by majority vote.
(6) The unaffiliated Moderator or Admin (if such existed, or a representative if not) will return to the thread with the decision. This decision is final. At this point discussion of the issue is considered closed, and the thread may be locked. Further discussion of the issue will be deleted, and members engaging in it are subject to banning as problem members.

This process may take several days, since schedules are busy.
