The point is, ABC should be ashamed they even used the term “choice” when describing Muslim women wearing burqas. That’s like saying 9/11 was a small flight path error made by back-up freelance Muslim pilots.
Is the word “choice” even in the Islamic language? Islam itself means “submission.” Thus people don’t choose things in Islam, they submit to them.
This is just another in a long line of media whitewashing of Islamic fundamentalism for fear of being called insensitive, politically incorrect or racist.
To paraphrase Martin Niemöller, “First the Islamic fundamentalists forced women to wear burqas, and the media did not speak out...”

. Their pretext reminds me of when a CNN reporter once asked an iraqi citizen about sadam when this one was still there, and the iraqi went like “we voted for him 100 %”
