The Beast of Revelation 13 is Mahmoud Abbas

The most important issue that must be resolved in discovering the meaning of
Revelation 13 is which people are being discussed. If the wrong people are
associated with the prophecies of Revelation 13 its answer can never be found.
The people being referred to in Revelation 13 are the Palestinians. Once this is
decided three questions have to be answered; why, how and who.

Why do the Palestinian people lack the ability to buy and sell?
Due to the Hamas takeover of the Palestinian Government, Western Aid was
discontinued.

How will the Palestinian people receive funds in order to buy and sell?
Through a program called the Temporary International Mechanism that bypasses
the Hamas controlled Palestinian Authority. This program was established on
Friday June 16, 2006. This date 6/16/06 represents the day that one man was
allowed to administer a program that paid the salaries of his people.
This is an
amazing coincidence. There are only three days in ten years that end with three
sixes; June 6, June 16, and June 26.

Who will provide these salaries to the Palestinians?
Western Aid was resumed through the office of Mahmoud Abbas due to the
Temporary International Mechanism.

Also, what group will be prevented from getting money because they did not
receive the mark?
Hamas.

The mark of Mahmoud Abbas was issued in the Palestinian Presidential Election
of January 2005. To prevent double voting an indelible ink mark was applied to the
right hand of all voters. Since Hamas boycotted these elections their members
never received the mark. Revelation 13:16 states that he caused all, small and
great, rich and poor, and free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand or in
their foreheads. Simply by being a candidate, Mahmoud Abbas caused his
people to receive the mark. Anyone who voted, either for him, or against him, were
there because of him.

Hamas will not honor the image of Mahmoud Abbas, therefore all salaries are
being given to Fatah, the party of Mahmoud Abbas. The image is what the
Palestinian Authority under Mahmoud Abbas represents.
This image of Abbas is required by the international community to continue peace
talks with Israel. This image is three items. These are the renunciation of terror,
the honoring of all prior Palestinian agreements, and the recognition of Israel,
which can also be expressed as the acceptance of the two-state solution based
on the 1967 borders. If these ideas are not followed, honored or worshipped;
those individuals will be killed. This is happening to Hamas daily.

I added the word worshipped here because that is the word used by the King James
Bible translators. It also means to honor.

So here is the sum of the matter. Mahmoud Abbas, in his name, was allowed to
pay his people through a program created on a date that ended in three sixes.
He was elected to his people by popular vote and caused his people to take a
mark. This mark was given to everyone, even those in Israeli jails, who voted.
Christians were always taught these basic principles, except I have linked the
number 666 with his name, while prior teaching had the mark as 666 engraved.

Lastly, why is it important these facts be stated?
It is important because prophecy written centuries ago, fulfilled in the present,
can have only one meaning. The author of that prophecy has to be God.
Also, it distinguishes between a true and a false religion. These are the two most
important issues in this writing. May your faith be stronger. The blessings of God to all
who understand. W.O.E.

Perhaps you should establish first just what page you are reading from (Revelation) to come to the conclusion Abbas is somehow a Beast?
Seems like an innocuous toady of the West to me.

This letter was posted August 22, 2005. Maybe this will help answer some of your questions.

The Second beast of Revelation 13- Mahmoud Abbas

Why would anybody need to know or care about knowing who the beast and the false prophet are? The first thought that comes to mind is that they would not want to unwittingly take the mark of the beast, Rev. 13:16. I hear and see all the time people talking about the mark and wondering what it is. The most common idea as to what the mark is in the Christian community is some sort of computer chip. This chip is somehow supposed to promote worship of the beast and also allow you to buy and sell. Without the mark a person is basically sentenced to death. I have also searched for what the mark could be for many many years. Therefore, it is essential that you know who the first beast is so you can determine exactly what the mark is.

The majority of Christian teachers say the beast has not appeared and a person will not know who the beast is prior to the rapture of the church. Therefore, it is wrong to look for him because it is not relevant to a Christian. One may speculate as to his identity but since Israel has not made a covenant with the anti-christ the seven year tribulation has not begun. This seven year time frame has been misinterpreted and caused many to be confused.

The beast of Revelation 13:1 is said to have seven heads and ten horns. The ten horns are ten kings Rev. 17:12. The seven heads are seven mountains Rev. 17:9. These kings shall have power with the beast and give their power and strength to him for one hour. Who would argue that the beast nations of Rev: 13 do not exist today and that for a person to know who they are one must be in heaven or raptured first? Of course we know who some of them are it is common sense. Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Iran to name just a few. The problem with the interpretation of Rev. 13 is what the seven heads are. Many have said that they are hills that pertain to a specific city. Particularly Rome which is supposed to sit on seven hills which would somehow make the Vatican the seat of the anti-christ. Which countries in Europe do you suppose are going to attack Israel and join with the beast of Rev. 13? I’m here to say that none of them will. The only possibility is that the beast is from Europe and he leads a confederation of Muslim nations against Israel. Before I get to what are the seven heads of Rev. 13 something else must also be included here. The beast is supposed to have subdued or plucked up three of the ten kings, Dan.7. Why does the beast subdue himself or eliminate three of those who are thought to be on his side? The answer is that Rev. 13 is not only a picture of the Muslim nations but also of Israel. The three kings subdued by beast number one are from Israel. So if the beast of Rev.13 has ten kings but three are not with him that leaves seven kings who must be. If a study of the word mountains is done in the Bible a pattern will emerge. Mountains can also be a nation or nations. Therefore seven heads are seven mountains and the seven mountains of Rev. 13 are nations, Muslim nations. These seven nations are Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Jordan and Egypt. The ten kings are all the present rulers of these countries plus the three that are subdued by Arafat. These are Peres, Netanyahu and Barak. That makes ten. Arafat is the little horn, which is the eleventh, and represents the land of Palestine. Collectively these nations compose the beast of Revelation 13 with Arafat as their leader. The covenant of Daniel 9:27 was between Arafat and Rabin in Sept. 1993. It was the Oslo Accords and lasted until Sept. 2000 with the start of the Palestinian uprising. The translation of the word many in Daniel 9:27 is Rab.The three kings subdued by the beast all happened during the seven years of the Oslo Accords. It was written in Israeli newspapers that Arafat was proud to say he affected the elections in Israel three times. Every time a terrorist incident occurred the Israeli public would vote in someone else. Another parable that shows Arafat is the beast of Rev. 13 is verse 3. One of his heads is wounded to death and the deadly wound is healed. This word head refers to a nation. Seven heads are seven mountains and seven mountains are seven nations. The deadly head [Nation] wound is the land taken by Israel in the 1967 war and wanted by the Arabs for a Palestinian homeland. As land is given back to the Arabs through negotiation it is being healed. Arafat was able to operate for three in a half years and in the middle of the 7 years negotiations failed culminating in the uprising in Sept. 2000.

I used to assume like most other Christians that all verses with numbers fit within the seventieth week of Daniel. I soon learned after watching the events in Israel and reading the Bible that there may be an alternative interpretation. I fell into the same trap that scholars across time have done. The only difference between us and them is that we are living it and they were just interpreting scripture. The bottom line is the seven year period of Daniel 9:27 is over. We are now awaiting the start of Rev.12 which is very close. Once Satan is kicked out of heaven he will be a God to all those who have rejected Jesus.

Back to Arafat. If you know who the first beast of Revelation is then the Second beast can be found.

Rev. 13:11 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and he spake as a dragon”.

The second beast has two horns which are two kings. After the death of Arafat on Nov. 11, 2004, new elections were called. The other beast rising out of the Earth was elected Jan.9, 2005, he was Mahmoud Abbas. The second horn is Hamas which won elections in Jan. 2006.

Rev. 13:12 “and he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein, to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed”.

Mahmoud Abbas exercises all the power of Arafat and he causes them to worship him who’s deadly wound was healed. Remember the deadly wound identifies Arafat. The word worship can also be translated to honor.

Rev 13:16 ,"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand , or in their foreheads”.

This brings me to the mark of the beast. If I am declaring that the second beast of Revelation 13 is Mahmoud Abbas, what is his mark? The mark of the false prophet; the one who maintains the legacy of Arafat, and the second beast of Revelation happened on Election Day January 9, 2005. During the election for President of the Palestinian Authority, after a person voted, he was forced to put his right thumb in indelible ink that lasted for 48 hours to prevent double voting...Abbas was the direct cause for the indelible ink mark. It was applied to all no matter what economic status they held.

Revelation 14:9-10 ..."If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.”

It’s been a long time since I have written anything. I’ve just been watching patiently and keeping a good record. The end of the matter is this. Jesus is God and what he said was true. All others are pretenders to the throne.

Before I start with moderator blue ink, I would like to know what the purpose of this thread is?  If it’s for Evangelism, then it won’t get very far, with or without a mod putting their foot down.

This is so interesting.  Sociologists of the web should be (probably are) studying this.  Here is a web site (CFI) devoted to the scientific study of religion and avowedly hostile to the program of religious dogmatism.  Here is a thread on the forum of this web site.  Here are the PRINCIPLE posters on the thread whose object is the explication and proper reading of the Revalation of John ("the Divine.").  This is exactly analagous to creationists taking over a web site devoted to exposing the fallacies of Creationism.
Interesting Questions (the answers to which are blowing in the wind):
1.  Why CFI? Perhaps they think this is really a biblical prophesy site , dediated to “inquiry” into the real meaning of the Seven Candlesticks or the Four Beasts...2 How is it that a discussion of Religion and Secularism becomes a discussion of the true nature of the Antichrist?  Where are the secularists?  Where, for that matter, are the mainsteam religionists?  Is everyone out there an apocalypticist?  3.  Where are the moderators ("god" help them) when we need them?  4.  Is it possible for one or two persons to essentially take over and bring to a grinding halt a community discussion?  (I think the answer is pretty obvious..)
Armchair speculation on the true identity of the Beast with Seven Heads and Ten Horns ("W"?, Paul Crouch?, John Hagee?) is kind of fun for a while but if this keeps up CFI may need to hire Rev. Richard Price to perform an exorciscm of it’s forums.

The Jesus Seminar and this are two different things.  The Seminar is not about dogmatism but rather a scientific inquiry of religion- in this case Christianity.  Rev.  Richard Price?  Are you thinking of Robert Price?

mclark01,

Speaking as a moderator, I think you exaggerate the danger of such nonsense as this thread. Where are the secularists? Hopefully, off in other threads having productive discussions rather than responding to this sort of bovine feces. Making a fuss over the rantings of those truly waiting for the end of days just encourages them. Some of our members may find entertainment in chatting about this sort of thing, but if you find it, like me, a tedious waste of time, there’s plenty of other discussion going on. This thread is hardly “taking over” the site. I think secularism, rationalism, and CFI in general are strong enough to withstand a little apocolyptic silliness. We’d better be, if we hope to survive anywhere other than in our own little community, coffee houses, and (as you would have it) insulated web fora!

Where are the moderators ("god" help them) when we need them?

The specific role of the Mods and Admins here is to enforce the rules of the forum. As of yet I do not see anything that Michael777 has done in violation of any of our stated rules. If you disagree with his particular opinions, you are free to debate them. If you feel it is not particularly worth your time to do so (which would not surprise me), you are more than welcome to give them a pass.

I find it interesting not just that people read the Bible strictly on these matters and look for signs, but how often apocolyptic groups have foretold the end of the world and when the event doesn’t happen, they never lose faith.  In fact they often re-calculate

Maybe there are billions of alternate universes and every time we miss a chance to prepare for the end, we continue in one universe while the believers experience the apocalypse.  Perhaps that is the actual result of being “Left Behind” or as the Simpsons called it “Left Below”

Yes Mriana- I meant Robert Price.
Doug and Brennan’s replies are well taken.  Clearly one could get worked up over nonsense at numerous sites on the internet and most of us have better things to do.  I would just make two brief points: first, it’s interesting, from a sociology of the internet POV, that these posters are attracted to this site.  (This was really my main point, rather than sounding an alarm.  I quite agree that this stuff does not threaten CFI in any meaningful way).  Second, if it were possible for the mods, without censoring anybody, to identify (with a symbol of some kind) threads that have careened off the intellectual rails, it might improve the usability and interest of the forum to those who don’t necessarily have the time to wade through the “bovine feces.” Maybe I’m just being lazy?

Your point is a bit OT in this thread; we can discuss forum policy in a separate thread, or open up the same dialogue in the other thread you have open on these matters if you like.

Ok, I will, for the fun of it, respond to Michael’s (ahem) commentary.

Michael says:  “The Beast of Revelation 13 is Mahmoud Abbas The most important issue that must be resolved in discovering the meaning of
Revelation 13 is which people are being discussed. If the wrong people are
associated with the prophecies of Revelation 13 its answer can never be found.
The people being referred to in Revelation 13 are the Palestinians. Once this is
decided three questions have to be answered; why, how and who.”

First of all, I can’t allow the opportunity to go by to make a Holy Grail comment and ask, “If I answer your five questions (three questions), may I then cross the Bridge of Death?”

Moving on: Why should we presume the book of Revelation has any value as a predictor of future events? Using only natural, fact-based statements, please explain this.  How do you know the author (said to be the apostle John but never proven) is writing anything fact based? Given the rather nonsensical style, isn’t it more likely the author was either 1. using his or her imagination or 2. delusion, possibly pychotic?  Do you really suggest a nation should conduct foreign policy based on such lunatic rantings?

Michael, except for the Monty Python quip above, I’m not trying to poke fun at you, I’m challenging you to re-read everything you submitted and ask yourself, “How do I know this to be true?” “Am I basing my belief on provable facts or am I engaging in wishful thinking about how I would like the world to function?” I think if you are intellectually honest, you will discover that you are basing the specious idea of prophecy on an ancient myth that has no more relevance to my life or your life than does Puff the Magic Dragon.  I hope you will seek reality. There is no prophecy, nothing written in the Bible or any ancient text has ever been fulfilled and it never will be.  Your life has meaning without reference to any religion or supernatural beliefs.  Drop the baggage — it’s time to grow up.
