Basically, the only acceptable post in this thread would be: “Yes, I am a Free Mason.” Now you all know it, now the truth is out.

Other than my father, I’ve never known anyone who declared themselves to be a Mason, so from my one person sample, I had a high opinion of their reasonableness and acceptance of others. Thank you, TTIOT, for doubling my sample and showing that my first evaluation was based on a severely skewed sample and was quite incorrect.

It’s kind of silly to come to an atheist forum and post that you believe in a “god” at all. In one post TTiOT posted that he didn’t believe in an invisible superman out there, but to be a free mason you have to.
My father is a free mason and only those that believe in ONE great architect of the universe can be a member. So basically they keep the pagans out, but let all the monotheist’s in.

You’d be surprised how often people post these kinds of things on this forum. I have no idea what kind of response they really expect.

Is this necessarily an atheist forum? I confess I didn’t know. I thought those who suspect there might be a kind of deity would be tolerated, provided they kept a low profile.
