Okay. So I really don’t understand why Satan doesn’t get more followers. As I’ve noted a few times on this forum, he seems like a way more fun, badass, adventurous sort of character, and if you were going to take any mythological framework literally, it seems like Satan is kind of the obvious choice.

As far as morality goes, the biblical account is kind of dubious, as it has “god” commanding genocide, participating in a betting contest that cost the lives of lots of Job’s family, and arbitrarily selecting groups of people in favor of others with no clear logic. Point being, Satan and God seem equitable in their moral vacuousness, so why not pick the one who is going to let you get schlammered every once in a while?

My mistake is I kept sayin’ “that was proof that God didn’t exist”
And you told me, “nah, it was proof that the devil do.”

Well, my lord Dread Cthulhu is way more awesome than Satan.  But I gotta admit, he’s better than that pusscake God.

I have long thought God is the bad guy, he just had a better PR firm than Satan.

Please allow me to introduce myself

I agree psikeyhackr, this thread is going nowhere.  God created Satan, his Sun, and all the rest so I’ll credit/blame Him, or even better I’ll just forget the whole thing.

In case you guys missed it, the whole thing is kind of tongue-in-cheek.

smile  I didn’t miss the tongue-in-cheek, I just have fun taking the time to announce that I’m dismissing God, publicly, rather than simply ignoring the thread.  Get it?  I paid attention to your thread, don’t feel hurt The_Au_Mean.  I was just dismissing God, not you.  Cheer up.  smile  God’s good creation

Haha, don’t worry. It didn’t hurt me. i just didn’t want to see the thread spin off in a different direction.

But what do we think, DM? That version of the devil maybe a little more powerful than tentacle-face? 8)

The first time I met the Devil was at a Motel 6
She left Hell to spend a weekend on Earth just for kicks
Sexy little bitch, shorter than expected
About five-foot five big an’ thick in the breast and thighs
Beautiful, dark eyes a strong stare
Large lips, soft hands and long hair
I said, “Ill make you smile for the simple fact I’m good at it
Ill make you smile just so I can sit and look at it…”

Hmm, I’ll give you that she’s hotter.  But Cthulhu likes to corrupt and destroy things created by Thomas Kinkade.  And that is worth more than hotness.
