Okay. So I really don’t understand why Satan doesn’t get more followers. As I’ve noted a few times on this forum, he seems like a way more fun, badass, adventurous sort of character, and if you were going to take any mythological framework literally, it seems like Satan is kind of the obvious choice.
As far as morality goes, the biblical account is kind of dubious, as it has “god” commanding genocide, participating in a betting contest that cost the lives of lots of Job’s family, and arbitrarily selecting groups of people in favor of others with no clear logic. Point being, Satan and God seem equitable in their moral vacuousness, so why not pick the one who is going to let you get schlammered every once in a while?

I didn’t miss the tongue-in-cheek, I just have fun taking the time to announce that I’m dismissing God, publicly, rather than simply ignoring the thread. Get it? I paid attention to your thread, don’t feel hurt The_Au_Mean. I was just dismissing God, not you. Cheer up.
