No, thanks. I’ve said all I wanted to for now. I have many other things to do.
Aww, but I’m not cranky anymore. ;D I just messing with you anyway. Can we at least let bygones be bygones and bury the hatchet?

I can tell you that I am fat, because i do not exercise (anymore), and eat way too much. But that is my story..
Heh heh. Me too. Though I’m trying to exercise more and eat less junk food. So far, the second part is working out fine. My involuntarily imposed poverty diet has done wonders for keeping me away from junk food.
I’m not angry. We had a point of disagreement, discussed it, and life has moved forward. We can indeed bury the hatchet.
Is it just me, or is “Bury the hatchet” kind of an unusual phrase? I know what it means, but it always seems to me like it’s implying violence. *shrugs*

No, you are dulling the blade, and putting it where it cannot be quickly accessed.

Thin people are not fat because thin people eat less. There isn’t much magic to it.
Actually, there is, according to the scientists in the documentary (and to other sources that I have posted). That’s kind of why I posted it.
This is the inquiry folks, you know, where you have to look at the scientific evidence, instead of just sticking fast to long held beliefs.
Yep, one person put on muscle while the others put on fat (none of them exercised). Hormonal release varies, as does metabolism (in the study). Not so simple. Sure, more food = more weight, but that ignores the brain’s setpoint that determines whether you are starving or full. So, you’re correct George at the shallow end but not at the deep end. Of course smoking can help you eat less as well.
Yeah, I am watching it right now. I have to remind you, though, that this not a movie club and you should be able to present your argument without me having to watch the documentary. Plus, I really don’t enjoy these kind of documentaries, where it takes one hour to say what they could have said in five minutes; but I guess they need to include 50 minutes of all the annoying video and sound effects for people to pay attention in order to get “educated.” All right, I’ll respond when I am done watching it…

Yes, well I have already written a lot in this thread, plus provided links. Backing up one’s arguments is always good, IMO, provided the source is reliable. This is back up.
