Atheists and other non-believers, as a whole, experience a lot more satisfaction in their sex lives than they did when they were believers. They feel much less guilt about their sex lives and their sexuality. The sexual guilt instilled by so many religions tends to fade, and indeed disappear, when people leave religion—much more thoroughly than you might expect. And according to the respondents of this study, non-believers give significantly better sex education to their kids than believers do.
I guess it’s sort of a “d’uh”, but good press is good press.
Since I’ve been an atheist from well before my adult life, I doubt that I’ve changed. However, thinking back, and with an admittedly small sample, I do have to agree that those partners of mine who were atheists were definitely superior in bed. (Oh well, at least it’s good that my memory is still functional. )
We have to hope so Not all religious people are ashamed of their bodies and sexuality.I have known some female atheists who had severe problems with body image, and some male atheists who had very traditional opinions on the situation;maybe that causes some trouble with sexual behavior in general. In a relationship, people who share a similar worldview are probably going to get along better though.
Only if you don’t mind the crystals in the sheets and chants as the Pagan tries to turn it into some kind of love spell! But you enjoy yourself CC.
I remember having sex, once. It was good.
Safer sex everyone. You think they’re fantastic, then buy them a prophylactic! A good sex tip, has a reservoir. How many safer sex partners does it take to screw in a light bulb: [ Just drop the light bulb, I’ll take the screw! ]
A popular myth growing up was that Catholic woman were hotter in bed because the guilt made it dirtier. Also, they had been denied sexuality growing up so when they come of age they are more hungry for it. Another popular myth was that people who grew up in liberal homes where their parents were accepting and open about sexuality come to develop an attitude that sex is no big deal.
