I don’t know much about Michele Bachmann, but what I’ve heard paints a sad imagine.
It seems to me she has the intellectual-depth of a rabid evangelical… and knowledge-base of a know-nothing.
Well, except for her particular Biblical driven social/political views.
But, like I say I know very little about her.
Has she accomplished anything of note in her life/career… well except for becoming a political celebrity?
I hope she wins the nomination, she’s a ditz on a good day and a hypocrite and a liar the rest of the time.
Obama’s sure to beat her head-to-head even with a suckie economy and multiple wars.
Do not underestimate this woman. Despite accomplishing nothing in politics she has knocked off some strong opponents by playing on people’s religious fears. She probably buys into the whole god thing, which makes her particularly effective with the non-thinking religious types who turn out in droves to vote for the person they believe god has chosen to lead our country into their vision of a god-fearing land. That makes Bachmann especially dangerous. Her vision of a perfect country is a theocracy led by religious zealots.

Right… while the grooves go on being groovy and just can’t muster up the concern to own the situation and create a real opposition to this insanity of the right wing.
First they came for the communists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
I was astonished to learn she is a lawyer. Then, I learned where she went to law school. Then, I learned she was a lawyer for the IRS.
I used to be amused at her recollections of history, but now I am afraid, very afraid. Our election system is rapidly becoming an exercise in insanity. and “anything” is possible, when there is enough money floating around.
I think there’s a good chance that the Republican presidential candidate will be Mitt Romney and his running mate will be Michelle Bachmann. If that happens and he wins then something happens to him, can you imagine the kind of Supreme Court Justice she would pick?

She may put her head out so she falls faster than Sarah Palin. She is prone to gross exaggeration, an it is beginning to come back to bite her!
I found this pretty funny. Apparently, she thinks a 2011 dollar should be worth the same as a 1911 dollar.
The shorthand way of describing to you what quantitative easing is is a license to print money without any value behind it…In the last two years of the Obama administration, if you pull a dollar out of your pocket, you have lost 14 percent of the value of that dollar. That means the federal government has stolen that money from you… They’ve been printing essentially valueless money and flooding it into the money supply. I don’t stand for that. A dollar in 2011 should be the same as a dollar in 1911. A dollar should be worth a dollar.
I stumbled on this through Bachmann. I was curious what this gal had to say about Bachmann’s presidential bid.
And you know listening to her 3.5 minute news report:
Palin, Bachmann, Romney, Santorum: Meet the Latest Insanity Quorum: July 1, 2011
{PS Happy 56th folks }
well . . . well friends, I know some of youz old guys/gals watched “The Monkees” back in the day. . .
remember Davy Jones, every week, well ya know . . . well yea, she’s flung me…
I’m downloading her next news cast as I write this.
My sheltered self hadn’t hear of Julianna Forlano* before, but I got the feeling she’s going to be fun to catch up on, she’s a hoot. I hope Sarah Silverman don’t mind too much.
*hey she’s a Chicagoan too
There was a great line in some old movie - “In the cathedral of my heart there will always burn a candle for you my dear.”

In any events, her Bachmann comments are good.
Hey! That’s the same link I used in the thread about DM. I thought she would be his perfect mate.
