I finally got my Jesus Myth presentation together. I may have to redo parts of the second part.

I will warn you, the first part is 1 hour and the second part is 2.5 hours!

Let me know if you have technical difficulties, or if you find an error. I did a lot of editing, and maybe something slipped through the cracks.

Dude, if you’re going to give speeches…you have to refrain from saying “Umm..” and “Uh…” after every break in your speech.  It was so profuse that I could tell it was compulsive and I’m sure you didn’t know you were doing it.  But you may want to be conscientious of that in the future, especially if you are trying to present this material for in any sort of professional manner.  You’ll find that if you deliberately use moments of silence to focus your thoughts, then you won’t need to use filler noises which really just reinforce a lack of clarity of thought and speech.  Just a tip. This was very informative otherwise.

Yeah, I noticed that too, I may have to rework it because of that.

I find it better to question Yeshua’s poor ethics than his existence!  Oh, we just have propaganda about him, not the unvarnished truth. But all that shows him a magician .

Fr. Griggs rests in his Socratic ignorance and humble naturalism. He might be wrong! His cognitive defects might impact his posting. Logic is the bane of theists.‘Religion is mythinformation.“Reason saves, not that fanatic Galilean!

I listened and agree that the content is terrific, something I’d expect from you BTW. But, the speech is not. I am going to guess that you did not write the speech word for word but were speaking from a very detailed outline with some other materials
There are way too many “Now"s and Ah’s or Uh’s - as I listen there are umm’s and amm’s too many and uh’s.
Take your time rewrite the speech. use short sentences and use declarative sentences tell the listener directly what you intend to teach him in a particular section such as the one comparing old gods to new such as the sun god to samson. If you have this in written form send it to some people you respect and let them do re-writes.
The discussion of Zoroastianism and Buddism should be shortened and related constantly to Christianity. Osiris Isis and Horus could be better explained.
Geoff Its a great first try. Take a few minutes and listen to recorded speakers who tell stories, the best is the guy who speaks on the NFL videos but listen to any professional video. Then rewrite the speech. Use short declarative sentences that follow naturally one after the other.
Introduce the subject of each topic and keep the topics short. the first section is way too long. If you want to impart all of that information do it in shorter sections. The listener wants to grasp what you are saying on a particular subject one at a time.
Let the listeneer know what you are going to teach him and then teach that and nothing else. Do it piece by piece and it will be much better.
For example say the biblical story of Samson was preceded by the story of the Sun God named———-. The idea that strength depended on length of hair was first presented in “blank blank blank” with the rays emanating from the head of the sun god _____.
I like your outline and like your project. Good luck with the revisions.
