Just joined, hoping to find some like-minded folks around here. I’m an agnostic and, as my username suggests, I’m mostly interested in the humanist part of secular humanism, not in convincing myself and others of the “Truth” about God, whatever it is. So I’ll probably be hanging out mostly in the “humanism” part of this forum and leave the theological and scientific arguments to, well, those who like to argue. I just find trying to be intellectually/scientifically right too tiring smile.

Hello.  Humanists and agnostics welcome, I’m Humanist and agnostic too.  smile  Enjoy the forum, jump in to the discussions.  I’d be surprised if you don’t get involved in all of the discussions!  smile  There are other Canadians here, but mostly it seems to be USA oriented.

bicycles: less mass, no fuel, lower speed, more beautiful, more quiet, lower cost, less wear-and-tear on the roads, more social because you can talk to people beside you, low-impact heart healthy exercise, easy parking… they are not perfect, but are they better than cars?.

When people talk about joining, do they mean the CFI or the forum?

I can only speak for myself. I meant the forum, and that’s probably going to be enough for me.

The forum, and the population of free-thinkers in general. (Personally, I am a friend of CFI and a member of AHA)
