Just recently I heard about this forum on the PoI pod-cast, which I listen to every time a new one comes out, and I love.  This site looks very interesting and I hope to find many interesting things to discuss here.  There are few people for me to talk to about the kinds of things I assume are in this forum, so I am very excited to join it. 

For the last 2 years I have been living in Texas for my job, and let me say that there is not exactly a sympathetic ear for anything anti-religious, or even questioning religion in this area that I know of.  It’s not the kind of area that I particularly enjoy.  Also, I have a very young child and wish none of this kind of environment upon him (we’re moving very soon).

Along with my intro, I’d like to add that a friend of mine got me into listening to pod-casts, or I never would have even found the PoI one.  If anyone is interested his is at http://www.unimpressedcorps.libsyn.com, and mine is at http://web.mac.com/matts30.  They are both explicit and I would discourage anyone who cannot handle that to listen.

Hi Matts30, good to have you here. As you look around our site you will find that we have a few members from Texas, so you are not alone ... although I can certainly understand your desire to switch locations if the place doesn’t feel welcoming.

You may want to edit your podcast URL ... the ‘period’ at the end is getting incorporated into the name.
