One of the techniques in dealing with critical thinking fallacies is reductio ad absurdum. Many postulates with their subsequent logical argument can sound reasonable, however, by using the same logic and carrying it to the extreme one can point out the silliness of the whole idea. I think this may be George’s method. The problem with this is that while the audience may see the point of this, the person who proposed it seldom does.
