Very nice holiday card arriving much too late!

I have two thoughts about this:

1. I was half expecting it to have a jarring segue into Attenborough telling his infamous worm story. 

2. The videography was stunning and Attenborough is awesome. However, this would have been so much better with Louis Armstrong’s vocals.

Loved watching this. I also wanted to hear Louis Armstrong’s voice—and I prefer Satchmo’s ending (“Oh, Yeah”). Sparked my curiosity, and a Google search led to Wikipedia, and then this article about the program that this was from:

I don’t watch TV, except for DVDs of Doctor Who from the library (which means well after the current season is over), so I miss this kind of stuff—unless I happen across a posting like this.  Glad you shared. 

Funny how even the Brits, who really seem to get secularism and atheism better than Americans, still do “Christmas” specials. Even more funny how Christmas “sells”—which drives some more genuine Christians nuts, especially since most succumb to the commercial frenzy without even realizing how their “religion” has been hijacked. 

Do you suppose we’ll ever see a “wonderful world” message being widely shared free from “holiday” connections?

Well, seeing as how the Christians hijacked a Pagan holiday in the first place, I don’t see that they have anything to complain about…....

I think half the fun of it was that it was coming from Attenborough,
and you know I’ll bet many of us were hearing Louis doing background vocal
