As far as I could tell, the only way they could make a big difference is if somebody other then the True Believers in either party actually paid attention to them and took them seriously. Some might, but I don’t.
I don’t need a reason to vote against a particular candidate. The fact that they even want the office is the first red flag as far as I’m concerned.
What I need from a candidate is a reason to vote for him or her. (Though more often I’m conflicted because I don’t know whether to vote to elect or vote to convict!)
