FWIW, I can’t stand Las Vegas. It is nothing like TV makes it look. I found mostly old fat smokers and a plastic circus ambiance. But that’s just me.

That’s just a stereotype!!! Not all the smokers there are fat!

So far, I’ve met Asanta And Occam, and Doug, all of who were just as enjoyable in person as here!

I’ve stopped going to Las Vegas. I used to go for conferences, which were usually enjoyable, but I always ended up with asthma flare-ups which is NO fun at all!

My only issues with LV was the dryness.  I’ve had days there where I’d wake up gasping for water every hour.

That would be great George. Yep, I have met GaryTheHuman and yes, he is. I really like him and his wife. I am also thinking of him lately as he has been recently hospitalized but I don’t know his ailment. Wishing him well and a speedy recovery.

I was hoping to meet more at the Reason Rally but it seems nobody here is going (which is fine, I probably wouldn’t travel from CA either). Still, I am going to meet some local atheists (not on this forum) who will be going.

I got home from the hospital Monday.  The surgery was a bit more serious than anticipated, ended up with a colonoscopy.  Seeing the Doc on Tues. to get the stiches out, hopefully the bag will be off in another two to four weeks.  Feeling pretty good all things considered and my wife has been an angel through this.

Oh yeah, no cigs since I went to the hospital.

It’s a good thing they caught it while it’s treatable. I wish you a quick recovery.

Congrats! I to this day love smoking, but decided a long time ago to go with health over enjoyment. It really does get easier with time, I promise you that much.
