I have watched with concern over recent months as one of my heros, Sam Harris, is blasted by the left for his views on Islam. Here is his latest blog post. What do you think?

I have mixed feelings about Sam Harris; his support of Israel, Buddhism, and his idea that science can lead us into a more ethical existence seem weird to me. I do agree with his criticisms about the narrow mindedness of many liberals, but I take him one sound byte at a time.

I generally like what Sam writes. His stuff can be controversial, but it’s always well thought-out. I think that he’s a bit inspired by Christopher Hitchens in his ability to take unpopular stances, as long as he can back himself up.
