Not sure if this is “old news”, but I guess this “tradition” of handing out bibles is really wide spread. This case is from Ontario, but here in Calgary my girl-friends daughter got one. I think this is a fairly typical situation. I got a pocket bible when I was in school.

Is this happening everywhere? Did you get one? Do your kids get them? Do you know of others that get them?

Yes. Handing out Bibles and pocket testements is quite the cottage industry among the evengelical crowd. Especially in the military.

I don’t know that it’s right or wrong but I do have the freedom to say “no” and I use it.
