But Gen 2 says god created man from dust and woman from Adam’s rib. That’s why men have one less rib than women.
Wait. What? Men and women have the same number of ribs? So in addition to contradictory myths the Bible is just plain wrong. I guess god is so all-powerful he can contradict himself while being wrong and still get people to believe his line of BS.

Hmmm… That sure doesn’t sound like the path to knowledge or good will with you fellow citizens or, especially, an examined life. My rhetorical question to you (just think about it, please don’t respond) is, “What benefit is there to not caring why you believe what you believe, especially considering the many, many negatives to not caring”? Your attitude is as common as dirt and as old as the hills, so I’m not picking on you specifically. But I would be grateful if you were to sit and think seriously about the reasons you believe what you believe and not necessarily the beliefs themselves.
As for man holding more power than women in most societies, you can see how it had its roots in hunter/gatherer societies and is less prevalent the more advanced the society. It’s only a matter of time and a few generations before true gender equality exists in many places.
