Hello all,

I wanted to stop in and say hello. I’m new to the forum and like what I see thus far.

I identify as atheist and don’t know of any woo I find credible either.

My background, I was a member of AA for most of my adult life (joined at 22, I’m now 47) until further exploration into atheism and such made the AA belief in a higher power and my metaphorical use of the word “god” incompatible. In retrospect, I had been accommodating beyond a level of intellectual comfort for a long time but was afraid to move on.

I feel freedom I had never really know before. I get the term “free thinker” in a way that I missed before. My wife notices and says I’m more alive.

I’m really enjoying the “Human Bible” podcast and I’m glad to be here.
