What a great way to turn the nay sayers back on themselves! Could it be done with the upcoming presidential campaign? Anyway, absolutely fantastic. And what a terrific way to draw attention to the public library, you know, where there’s books and larnin’ en stuff!!
I certainly hope the library in Troy survives. Their website certainly looks healthy. If so, Hurray for the people of Troy!
I’ve come to strongly hold the opinion that for the atheist/humanist/skeptical community public libraries could qualify as our temples, our places of “worship”. Access to information, unbiased and wide ranging, is fundamental to any rational discourse.
Um, huh? I thought that this library did indeed get closed down. I have a friend who used to be a librarian there.
Has anyone checked on this? Not to call you on it but wouldn’t the closing would be all over YouTube and Facebook? Man I hope you’re wrong but strange things have been happening in Mich. how could any city or town close down their library? Unbelievable and I’m not being facetious.
