OK, what’s going on with this site? Did you notice that when each of us tried to show a laughing smiley, we just got the standard letter things. I’ll try it both ways and see how it works. First the letters - Second using the link at the upper left of the post

Damn, I figured a way around this. I’d go back to some ancient post and lift the smiley from that. However, even very old posts no longer show smileys, just the symbols that are supposed to generate them.
Well maybe the smileys just went on strike! And I wouldn’t blame them one bit, the way people just throw them around, push on here into this thread, and there into that thread, never with any real appreciation of their lemon yellow beauty, they joy that they can impart uplifting one’s day, the abuse that the endure when people say things like “Go to h-e-double hockey sticks” and end that with a false smiley… welllll we’ll just see how everyone likes it when they’re all gone! THEN the smileys will show the users a thing or two, THEN people will learn to appreciate them for what they’re really worth!
