“It’s a cook book”! My all time favorite zone but I also like “The monsters are due on Maple Street” . Makes me pine for the days when everyone saw communists everywhere, reds under The beds! (just being facetious here). Outer limits was a Little too hokey but I watched it anyway. I just can’t remember any one episode that really grabbed me except the one where David McCallum turns into a super brain, or something like that.
I’m not familiar with the original “Outer Limits” series, but my favorite T.Z. episodes are Time Enough At Last A Kind Of Stopwatch Escape Clause Will The Real Martian Please Stand Up
Generally, I find the ones that dealt with space travel are the least interesting.
There were two episodes of the Twilight Zone which I liked:
“Two” with Elizabeth Montgomery and Charles Bronson
“Prove Seven, Over and Out” with Richard Basehart and Antoinette Bower
Although I gotta admit though I watched a bunch of all three, i don’t remember any that well.
Although there was the one with the demon on the wing of the passenger airplane, that was freaky.
The time standing still tripped me out too.
hmmm, guess I’m remembering more now that i’m thinking about it…
heck they were all pretty freaky.
The kudzu one (well vines ensnarling a house) was way bizarre too. Although the one were people’s mouth’s disappeared, that thought really weirded me out pretty good.
But I haven’t watched any of that stuff since the 60s so it’s all a bit foggy.

Here in South Carolina, nobody would notice anything unusual about it. This stuff is so think and everywhere to be seen that some entrueapaners have figured out how to make a jam out of it.
If you can’t beat it, you might as well eat it I guess!

Interesting. This plant has invaded and virtually taken over our area in the last 20 years. Didn’t know you could eat it. Do you have the receipe? Kudzu jam, who would a thunk it? BTW EOC, do you live anywhere near Charleston?

No recipe. Mum and I have seen this offered at a place which used to be called The Dish Barn in North Carolina. I don’t know how well it sells but since it’s always there, I suppose it’s doing well enough to justify keeping it on the shelves.

I wish. If I did, I would try to get a job at Patriot’s Point. Mum and I go there every so often. For an old sailor like me, it’s like going back home.
You are right, many are great episode which dwarf many other SF-Series of today.
Also the Stopwatch -thing freaked me out as child, while i was watching it alone.

Been there many times since the 60’s, and every time I visit the sub I literally bust my head open! You’d think I’d learn but no, lift up feet raise head, bang! Shit! I’ve yet to go through the nuclear powered ship though. They wouldn’t let us on the last time we visited, but did get to go through the Nautilius in New London. That was a treat! The reason I mentioned Chucktown was the H.L. Hunley exibit is now open to the public. I’ve yet to see it but it’s suppopsed to be impressive.
Believe it or not Zone fans, “The Eye of the Beholder” is ranked as the most watched zone of the top ten! It’s the show where all the docs look like dogs and the patient is beautiful.
The Twilight Zone is far and away my favorite show. I like so many episodes.
Burgess Meredith as the Devil who works at the newspaper. (1 hour episode)
“A Stop at Willoughby” one of my faves.
The one where the prisoner is marooned on the planet. And they bring him a robot female companion.
“A pitch for the ages”(?) The old guy who is a street salesman and tries to cheat the grim reaper.
Oh gosh soooo many good ones.
How ‘bout the one where the guy makes a bet he can keep from talking for one year?
One of my other favorites….“Steel”. The robot boxers.

I like the TZ episode where the old folks at the rest home begin playing and turn into children. They did a modified and expanded version of it in TZ the Movie, with Scatman Crothers. I thought the movie was pretty forgettable but I liked that segment.
