I was thinking England, but France is even better, I hear in that dept. However, rumour has it that there are many “No go zones” in France too. Is this true?

You have to understand, C-A, that Europe is a more mature society that the U.S.A. Too many of us here are still children looking for big daddy. I keep hoping that we catch up with you in terms of non-theology. It’s happening, but unfortunately, probably not in my lifetime.

What do you mean by “no go zones”?
Oh nothing, just some Anti-Muslim propaganda I was reading that said that France had umpteen “no go zones”. Allegedly those are areas in which, if there is trouble and police are called, they won’t go in that area.

Megachurches are to be expected, religion is “show biz” after all.
Too bad we can’t be like that.
Our sales pitch isn’t as touch-feely: ‘We’re not special. We’ll all be worm food when we die. Oh… And death is the end of the game. Thanks for playing!’

Take care,

Which leads me back to the topic phrase “God as a drug”. Drugs can be fun in helping one escape from their regular state of consciousness. Some drugs can even induce delusions. Drugs wear off relatively quickly, but the delusions that come with “God as a drug” tend to persist.
Perhaps the Church of Non-Theistic Humanists should include a systematized ritual of psylocibin communion. That would draw in some devotees who require occasional delusions in their life.
