This is one of the few music videos that make the song better:

LOL

Most music videos I don’t give a damn about.

This song is great without video, the video just has nostalgia value.

My son just showed me this video of musician Alexander Zoltan playing a song called Die Moldau on the glass harp. Beautiful. I’m a sucker for unusual instruments, the glass harmnonica, the hurdy-gurdy etc.

Have you ever heard the original, Jack? (It’s about the river Vltava—Die Moldau in German—in the background of the video). One of my favourites. BTW, the composer BedÅ™ich Smetana wrote this when he was already completely deaf. He never got to hear it.

One of my son’s friends alerted him about the glass harp version of the piece. It is his favorite, and my son showed me the YouTube version George. He asked me if that was the actual river in the background. It’s an interesting piece that tells the story of how and where the river flows. I’d like to actually see it someday!

Go see it. Prague is a beautiful place, the beer is still cheap and most girls are about 70% legs.  wink

Damn! Cheap Czech beer and eye candy, who could go wrong… Wait a minute George, I’m going there to view the European architecture and beautiful vistas. Well, maybe a drink and just a peek. It does look cool though. And I want to eat some real Czech food. I’m tired of my ancestor’s beef and potatoes.

Check out this waltz by, wait for it, wait for it, Sir Anthony Hopkins! Anthony Hopkins? What the hell? I had no idea.

No freeekin’ fair! Multialented people hack me off. The waltz was beautiful; sounded like Strauss, and Hopkins really got into the music. You could see him following every line. Wonder what’s next for him, politics?

Yeah.  I enjoyed the pivo and the legs. And the faces and the food. And the environs.
Stayed for a couple of months. Wanted to stay longer but the language and cultural differences could not be hurtled by me and the girl I almost loved there.
I would do it differently now.  I was too young and restless then.

I may have mentioned this little vocal gem before, but it bears reintroducing, IMO.
